Where our data comes from

Published September 13, 2026. Last verified September 13, 2026.

BuyGold’s scores are computed from company-published facts only: fees, minimums, storage terms, and IRA structures, verified against each company’s own disclosures and dated. Alongside every score we show two things that never enter it.

The first is aggregate third-party review data from platforms such as Trustpilot, Google, the Better Business Bureau, and Sitejabber, displayed unweighted as reader-trust signals. We show it raw rather than folding it into our score, so you can weigh it yourself. We never quote or attribute individual reviewers; we show scores, counts, and complaint totals only, each with the date we pulled it.

The second is public regulatory and enforcement records, linked to the primary source and never editorialized.

The three kinds of claim we allow

Every statement we make about a company is one of exactly three things: the company’s own published claim, a verifiable third-party fact, or a clearly attributed opinion. We never present our own unsourced assertion as fact, and we never state a markup, spread, or premium without a published source for it.
